2007 Grand Conclave Should Be Very Interesting from a Web2.0 Perspective

With the summer Conclave rapidly approaching, it is going to be very interesting to see how technology will pay dividends in the months before and after the summer event.

Various chapters, provinces, and individual Nupes will be creative in chartering buses, coordinating events and hospitality suites (no cameras, please), and taking post-Conclave networking to another level afterwards.

It is always interesting to see whether large scale events will deliver on promises since most such events have a lot of excitement that gets placed on a shelf immediately afterwards.

There has to be a consistent mechanism to keep the energy and excitement flowing to the local levels versus remaining in the host city.

An idea on the Conclaves just popped in my head after the last sentence and it should be interesting to see if it can be implemented quickly.

There should also be an opportunity to Nupes to better network across the NPHC membership in a web2.0 or web 2.0 fashion.  Mailing lists are fine, but they are becoming too restrictive when audio and video are usually not often included in the daily messages.

Perhaps there is something that can be done with YouTube or via a podcast that could do the job.  Any ideas, suggestions, or referrals are welcomed.

Yours in the Bond!
